It was in 1975 when Girard-Perregaux, founded in 1791, first launched its sporty-elegant wristwatch. Have a look at the 225th anniversary-edition of the Laureato …
Wellcome back Girard-Perregaux!
This is a nice present for your 225th anniversary!
The manufacturer based in La Chaux-de-Fonds recently pushed the reset-button and is now slowly coming back to the markets with a new strategy, new products, new partners, new communication and of course new hope.
Yes hope!
It was a shame to see how this luxury replica watchmaking pearl was abused during the last years. Every mistake that one can do was done. While competitors used the time to strengthen their market position Girard-Perregaux struggled to survive. I personally did no longer support this suicidal strategy, I warned the responsible management more than once that this was the wrong way, but it seems they had to go (or wanted to go – I don’t know!) through these negative experiences before Kering (previously PPR), the new owner, applied the emergency brake. If you look back on the blog you did not see and read much about Girard-Perregaux recently, I simply cannot recommend you or discuss things I no longer support and understand.
This will change now!
What I have seen and heard makes me confident again!
As already mentioned Girard-Perregaux celebrates its 225th anniversary this year, the relaunch of the Laureato is the first gift that the manufacturer makes us.
